Experience Local: The Girls Strawberry Patch

Welcome Luxury Partners Readers! It is so good to be back this week for another Experience Local where we tell you all about our favorite local establishments in our very own Palm Beach County! We just wanted to remind you how much fun this series has been and we want to hear what you guys want us to visit and write about! While we have gotten used to making at home crafts and small trips to restaurants, we have to bring the fun back into Summer! The Girls Strawberry Patch is a beautiful and fun location with plenty of activities to do with children and even as a date night. 

From the second you walk in, you smell the fresh baked pizza, desserts, and see all the beautiful antique decorations that fill up the walls and hang from the ceiling. You will feel nostalgic when looking at posters and old school candy that remind you of your favorite childhood shows, movies, candy, toys, and so much more! The ice cream parlor has dozens of flavors, from classic to wacky, and different desserts such as banana splits and delicious milkshakes. Now the pizza from the connecting pizza parlor called Bambini’s Garden Pizza is out of this world! They serve New York style pizza pies that are made with fresh ingredients from their garden and customizable for your guests. This is what makes The Girls Strawberry Patch so unique, it is rare to find a location with such a traditional and reminiscent vibe that can comfort the oldest to the youngest visitors. 

While the food may be eye catching, the fun continues through the back of the ice cream parlor. Towards the end of the building, there is a small pink door that opens to reveal an outside eating area that leads to the strawberry patch and a backyard filled with exotic birds and a petting zoo. The fees to enter the backyard are not pricey at all and all donations and funds go towards helping the animals and providing them with food and a comfortable shelter. Exotic birds from Toucans to Parrots and animals from Goats to Swans are just some of the animals you can pet and feed with provided food. They just opened a bird exhibit where you can enter an outdoor enclosed area filled with small birds that nibble your sneakers and land on your head for the perfect photo opportunity. Guests don’t even have to worry about the blazing sun because there is plenty of shade from beautiful trees to enjoy your stroll down the backyard without being overwhelmed. Once you finish your walk, you can see the entire strawberry patch from afar that is truly breathtaking. 

You must end your trip with a dessert from Grandma’s Bakery! Choose from your selection of pies, cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and other pastries that are mouth watering and made fresh with ingredients from their garden. As usual, masks are required within the establishment and you are free to remove them when you are in the backyard as long as you are socially distant from other guests. They are limiting the number of guests inside the parlors to ensure social distancing and prevent overexposure along with sanitizing the entire establishment frequently. There is no reason not to visit The Girls Strawberry Patch, Bambini’s Garden Pizza and Grandma’s Bakery to fill your cravings and explore for the final days of Summer!
